Pamela MhlangaChairperson
Pamela Mhlanga is a passionate women’s rights activist and legal expert with over two decades experience working in multi country and multi-level in gender, development and human rights , strategy, research, policy analysis, training, lobbying and advocacy on gender, law, human rights and development issues in Zimbabwe, SADC and Africa, in the context of regional and international human rights commitments. She is a holder of Master of Laws (LLM) Law in Development (Distinction) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB). She has co-authored publications on gender and development issues. Professionally she current serves as Executive Director, Zimbabwe Women’s Resource Centre and Network.
Opportunity MoyoSecretary
Opportunity Moyo is a young Zimbabwean feminist who has been working in Women’s development processes in Midlands, Masvingo and Matebeleland for 11 years. She is also involved in Sports Leadership and has been able to use her influence and experience in Women’s issues to advocate for equal participation and inclusion of Women’s rights into Sports administration. Opportunity has vast experience in working with Women of all ages and facets of Zimbabwe. She has been active member of Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe for 9 years.
Ronika MumbireVice Chairperson
Ronika Mumbire holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Masters of Management and Sustainable Development, Masters of Peace and Governance and several diplomas in counseling, project management, and training human resources among others. She has lots of experience in terms of leadership, project planning and management, training, monitoring and evaluation and research. She is the Board Chairperson of Emmaus International, outgoing board member at CONNECT (Finance and Human Resources Subcommittees), treasurer at WABAZ and Secretary at Women and Land in Zimbabwe. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Zimbabwe Women’s Bureau.
Asmin ChikukwaCommittee Member
Asmin Chikukwa is a women rights activist based in Kariba. She is the chapter chairperson of Kariba. She has vast experience in community mobilisation, lobby and advocacy issues at community level and has worked with Red Cross as a volunteer and caregiver as a primary facilitator and a counselor.
Violet MagodoCommitte Member
Violet Magodo, the Gweru Chapter Chairperson. With the training, teaching and counselling experience of 20 years, she possess the ability to organise, plan and implement training and counselling sessions, with the grass root community and any stakeholders or community as required.
Teresa Pearl MugadzaTreasurer
Teresa Pearl Mugadza is a lawyer and development practitioner who has worked in civil society and legal practice for more than 20 years in various capacities. She has experience in governance issues including enhancing women’s participation in politics and decision making, policy development and formulation on issues that include human rights, women’s rights and social justice and has worked in strengthening civil society institutions through capacity building, governance support and evaluating programme interventions for efficiency and effectiveness. She produced policy papers on various issues, publications on governance in general and women’s rights in particular.
Joyce ChingwaruCommittee Member
Joyce Chingwaru is the Bindura Chapter Chairperson. She holds a Bachelor of Education Degree and currently studying Masters in Business Administration. She has attained Certificate in Community Development Studies, Diploma in Business and Government Studies, Diploma in Personnel Management, Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, Diploma in Family Health and Life Styles, Certificate in Community Conflict Transformation and Pease Building. She is also the Director and Founder of Dawn Ridge Group of Schools.
